In-person interpreting is the most-common type of interpreting. It involves an interpreter traveling to a location to participate in a three-way conversation with the client and the source language speaker.
Over-The-Phone interpreting (OPI) is a three-way call between the interpreter, the client, and the source language speaker. It is best used for high-volume call centers. It is also valuable for emergency situations, which don’t allow time for travel.
Conference interpreting is simultaneous interpreting which features the interpreter relaying what is said to attendees who are given headphones with the correct channel for their required language. As the name implies, it is mostly used for conferences, but is also a popular option for corporate meetings, training courses, seminars, and any other type of event.
Video Remote Interpreting is conducted over iTi’s secure and encrypted platform that connects to a professional interpreter in less than 30 seconds. VRI comes in two forms: pre-scheduled (a link is emailed to you) and on-demand. VRI is also available on demand through most video conferencing platforms.
American Sign Language has distinct grammatical rules and syntax. ASL interpreters use hand gestures, body language and facial expressions to convey a message. All iTi ASL interpreters are RID certified, experienced, and highly qualified.
